The painting ‘Ophelia’ by John Everett Millais. The model for the painting was Elizabeth Siddal who went on to marry the artist and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti. During the sitting for the painting Millais had Elizabeth lie fully clothed in a bath for hours at a time. It was the middle of winter in 1852 and to keep the water warm Millais had several oil lamps placed under the bath. Unfortunately on one occasion while he was absorbed in his painting he failed to notice the oil lamps had gone out. The water in the bath quickly turned freezing cold and Elizabeth developed pneumonia. She recovered but her father forced Millais to pay £50 in compensation.
Huh, this is a really interesting idea, actually. It’s like Amnesia, only you play as a 2-year-old. I definitely think the limitations and advantages of a young child, applied to a horror game… have the potential to make it terrifying.
This could be, if the game dynamics are done well, fucking horrifying.
And naturally I would NEED TO PLAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT, OH MY GOD.
